The Mission of the Caddo Parish Tax Office website is to engage all audiences
with content-rich,
innovative, easily-navigated, aesthetically pleasing pages; to
provide services, serve as a community focal point, and
embody the Parish’s values and image. Caddo Parish’s site
is a nonpublic forum created for purposes of providing information
to the public regarding Tax Office official actions, laws and services.
We intend to protect your personal information and to maintain its
quality. We implement appropriate measures and processes, such as
using encryption when transmitting certain sensitive information, to
help us to keep your information secure and to maintain its quality.
Caddo Parish does not rent or sell personally
identifiable information (i.e., information such as name, address,
phone number, e-mail, etc., that identifies a user as a particular
person), nor would Caddo Parish exchange or trade such information
with third-parties without a user's explicit permission. Caddo Parish
does not disclose credit card or other personally identifiable
financial information other than as necessary to complete a credit
card or other financial transaction, or upon explicit permission
from the applicable user. All such use by the Tax Office of financial
information shall be subject to the section of this policy on
financial issues, set forth below.
This site uses a secure server for conducting online services. All
credit card and other payment information that you transmit to us
will be protected by 128-bit encryption technology; provided your
browser is properly configured and your computer is operating
properly. Security technology requires that you are using a
reasonably current browser that is capable of 128-bit encryption.
Current browsers provide visual cues to the visitor that the online
service is secure. In the bottom of the browser you should see a key
or lock. If the key is not broken or the lock is locked, then you
are on a secure site. If not the site is not secure; you should not
trust the transmission of personal information to the site. With
these security measures in place, you can also feel confident about
every credit card transaction you make.

Online Property Tax Payment and Research Service
The Caddo Parish Tax
Office offers a convenient and secure online property tax payment
and research service. This
service is on a separate system from that maintained on the Tax
Office's host computer. The balances on the online payment system do
not reflect transactions which may effect account balances on a real
time basis other than payments made on the online system. Likewise,
the Tax Office host computer will not reflect online payments until
they are downloaded from the online system. This process usually
requires two business days.
The taxpayer is responsible for making
payments timely to avoid any penalty & interest or other costs
due to untimely payment. Serious penalties & interests and other
costs may accrue if deadlines required by law are not met.
Information regarding these deadlines can be found elsewhere within
this website. However, a taxpayer's misunderstanding of any
information provided herein will not constitute grounds for waiver
of additional costs assessed due to late payments. Should you have
any doubt concerning information contained herein, we recommend that
you consult the Tax Office at (318) 681-0638 or your legal
representative. Should you make an online payment, you must print
and retain a confirmation of that payment. This confirmation is
available for printing after you make a payment and the time and
date thereon is the time your payment was accepted by the online
system. The time and date of that confirmation will be the date of
the payment regardless of when it is downloaded to the Tax Office
host computer. After your payment is downloaded to the Tax Office
host computer, you will receive an official receipt as provided by
State law.
Caddo Parish Tax Office and the taxing jurisdictions for which
they collect make no guarantees, promises or warranties regarding
the accuracy of the information provided in this site. Taxpayers
should be especially cautious regarding amounts due from midnight
until 8:00 am daily. Balances should be considered unreliable during
these hours. During this period updates are being made to and from
the host computer.
Caddo Parish Tax Office and the taxing jurisdictions for which they collect and the
processor of electronic payments assume no responsibility should
incorrect information be entered by the taxpayer.
